2017 was Notaker‘s biggest year yet, without a doubt.
Though the Missouri-based DJ/producer isn’t at the top yet, he’s well on his way. In the span of a few months, Notaker went from being a relatively unknown Positronic Digital signee to a being a world-renowned artist with a critically-acclaimed EP, a song in Rocket League and a discography stretching across labels like Monstercat, Armada and mau5trap.
To cap off this insane year, Notaker has turned to deadmau5′ label once again to release his newest song “Retribution.” The track may admittedly be a bit more toned-down than most of Notaker’s recent work (even more so than his previous mau5trap release “Abyss“), but that definitely isn’t a bad thing. Notaker does a great job of creating an immersive atmosphere with “Retribution,” using elements of synthwave, techno and house to accomplish the job. 
“Retribution” sits alongside new music from some of mau5trap’s best (including ATTLAS, Matt Lange, BlackGummy and more) on the label’s seventh We Are Friends compilation, which dropped in full last Friday. While Notaker’s track is definitely one of the big highlights, we’d strongly encourage you to check out the full compilation.
