A new BBC Three documentary is highlighting an alleged Glastonbury ticket scam.
The alleged scam is estimated to be worth more than £1 million. The documentary, which premiered on 24 November 2025, is titled Fake Friend: The Glastonbury Ticket Scammer. It centres around a 28-year-old man named Miles Hart from Somerset.
Miles Hart is accused of selling exuberantly priced Glastonbury hospitality tickets, however the tickets never ever materialised. Miles was raised in Glastonbury and created a reputation as a very well-connected insider. However, when he was able to take his friends to Paris with a private jet and spent thousands on luxury clothing, people began to ask questions. 
Miles is also the son of Conservative councillor Susannah Hart, and he tried to use this to his advantage. He claimed that because of his mother’s ownership of land close to Worthy Farm, he had been allocated 42 hospitality tickets – as Glastonbury sometimes offers nearby residents the opportunity to purchase tickets outside of their general allocation. However, none of this proved to be true according to BBC’s investigation.
Associates and old friends of Miles said that he fabricated invoices and created fake email accounts to make the operation look official. One former school friend said that after purchasing a ticket in 2022, he contacted Glastonbury organisers only to learn they had “no knowledge” of Miles at all.
The Metropolitan Police confirmed it is investigating roughly 50 reports of Glastonbury 2024 ticket fraud. As of right now, Miles’ location is unknown.
