Sphere Entertainment, the company behind the Las Vegas Sphere has announced that a new Sphere will open in Washington DC.
The new Sphere will be much smaller than the current one, and will include just 6000 seats, whereas the current Sphere holds 18,600 seats. The location of the new Sphere has been proposed for the National Harbor in Maryland, while its overall aesthetic, style and design will mimic the current Las Vegas Sphere.
The “mini” Sphere will also feature the same groundbreaking technology that the current Sphere is known for like the LED Exosphere, 4D environment and 16 x 16k resolution interior display. If the Sphere is approved, it will also host a vast range of experiences, concerts, events and programming just like the current Sphere. With the massive success of the Las Vegas Sphere, we’re really excited to see what comes of this!
