Recently, only one member of famed Dutch duo W&W appeared on stage for their live performances. Willem van Hanegem, one half of the duo then addressed his absence saying that he needed to take a break due to exhaustion and to focus on his mental health.

Willem said that the pressures of touring had been building up, and after some serious reflecting, he realised he needed to take a step back and reset. He emphasised that it was important to prioritise his well-being after years of putting his career first. In the meantime, Ward van der Harst has continued performing solo at scheduled events.
