Emerging producer and DJ LËPTIC has shared a mesmerising Afro House single. Released on 28 November, the track showcases the Vancouver-based artist’s evocative and textured sound. The single is part of the Textures of Sound VA released by eVIVE Recordings.
Renowned for his melodic and cinematic take on House, LËPTIC’s production and sound design skills shine brightly with ‘Ngiyajola’. The track is driven by a sumptuous and captivating beat, which is invigorated by the sublime use of percussion and shakers. The poignant isiZulu vocals are the heartbeat of the single, and assist in creating an authentic connection with the listener throughout the track. Tender, warm yet powerful, the vocals add an inescapable energy to the track often found in Afro House soundscapes.
Sharing more on the single, LËPTIC revealed; “Ngiyajola is a track that captures the energy of Afro House while keeping it deeply emotional and atmospheric. I wanted to create something that feels like a journey that’s chill enough for sunset listening, but powerful enough to move a club.”
LËPTIC draws inspiration from Afro House superstars like South African DJ and producer Shimza, Swiss DJ Andrea Oliva as well as Spanish DJ and producer Arodes. So far, LËPTIC has released music on imprints like SOM and Harmor Records, while he shared the stage with MEDUZA in 2024 at the UBC Blockparty Festival.
