German-born, London-based artist Chris Avantgarde dropped a new single titled ‘Obsessed’ from his forthcoming album Hyperreal.
Released on his newly launched label also titled Hyperreal, the track follows a slew of single releases including ‘The Other Side’, ‘Down For The Night’, ‘Dale’ and ‘Energy’ which have created rapid momentum for the release of his highly-anticipated album.
With ‘Obsessed’, Chris Avantgarde delivers a driving house production built on tightly crafted percussion and a deep, rolling bassline designed for late-night club settings. The track develops with a precise arrangement, combining hypnotic rhythms with a polished melodic topline which enhances its intensity without diminishing its edge. Lyrically, the song explores themes of fixation and desire, capturing a tension between attraction and compulsion.
