Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike Deliver Tomorrowland Energy To Ibiza

Ibiza’s summer calendar has officially found its rhythm again as Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike returned to Ushuaïa Ibiza to launch their 2026 residency in collaboration with Tomorrowland, revealing the first chapter of their new Planaxis concept.

Running every Wednesday from 6 May through to 30 September 2026, the residency has once again transformed the open-air venue into a weekly destination for global dance music fans. The opening night set the tone immediately, with the iconic stage reimagined into a submerged fantasy world inspired by Tomorrowland’s underwater narrative universe. From the moment guests entered the venue, the production leaned heavily into atmosphere rather than spectacle alone, melding oceanic visuals, fluid lighting design, and all-encompassing staging that reshaped Ushuaïa into something far removed from its usual form.

Musically, the night delivered across the spectrum of high-energy electronic performance. Special guest sets from Oliver Heldens and Agents Of Time warmed up a crowd that had gathered from across the globe, each act adding a distinct flavour before the headline moment took over. When Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike stepped up to close the night, the energy shifted into full festival mode. Explosive drops, familiar reworks, and a tightly controlled build of progression that kept the crowd locked in from start to finish.

What stood out most was not just the scale of the production, but the way it leaned into storytelling. The Planaxis theme, rooted in Tomorrowland’s mythological underwater world, was not treated as background decoration but rather as the framework for the entire experience. From sweeping LED displays to immersive lighting and elaborate stage effects, the production created the feeling of stepping inside a surreal underwater realm.

The duo themselves described the return as one of their most ambitious Ibiza chapters yet, hinting at their intent to elevate both scale and creativity throughout the summer run. That ambition was already visible on opening night, where the combination of production design and performance energy made it clear this residency is positioned as more than a weekly club series, it’s a fully developed seasonal concept.

With 19 dates scheduled across the summer and appearances from a wide range of electronic acts still to come, the Planaxis residency looks set to become one of Ibiza’s defining summer stories. A mesmerizing fusion of production and heavyweight electronic performances is only just beginning to unfold beneath the Balearic sky.

Tickets are available on the official website and don’t miss your chance to be part of it.
