The most played tracks attendees hear at a festival are often indicative of the popular trends in sounds, styles and overall genres, one can find in the current EDM scene. In this article we will be listing some of the songs that we heard the most throughout the 3 day festival.
Animals by Martin Garrix, out on Spinnin’ Records
No surprise there, the current number 1 on Beatport produced by the youngest artist to achieve that accomplishment was the most played anthem at Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas. Martin Garrix, with Animals, could be heard at the two biggest stages throughout the 3 days, without actually attending the festival.
LRAD, off of Knife Party’s recent Haunted House EP
Similarly constructed, Knife Party’s house, almost hardstyle influenced release took over the festival by storm, from Steve Angello’s main stage set to Knife Party’s, this minimal percussive tune could be heard from all corners of the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Tiesto’s infinitely overused remix of Showtek’s Get Loose
The Dutch mastodon of this industry remixed Showtek’s recent rise to fame, turning the varied drops and BPM changes, into a single monotonous albeit addicting hook. His remix could be found in most House producers’ sets this last weekend.

Krewella’s chart topping Alive
The Chicago trio not only performed one of their very best sets at Insomniac’s landmark event, but they also appeared in most DJs’ sets with their hit record Alive.
Above all else, after the fancy production, beautiful lights and impressive line up, one thing this year’s Electric Daisy Carnival has showed us is that what Sandro Silva & Quintino’s Epic has begun is here to stay. That track singlehandedly paved the way for the majority of the overly played releases of EDC’s latest installment. These hardstyle influenced, minimal tribal, percussive kick driven hits that have stormed this scene seemed to have found their way into a great number of popular artists’ sets and mixes. While I cannot predict the future, I can assure you that Animals will not be the last of them.
Feel free to add your own list in the comment section below.
U forgot about the #1 most played by dubstep & house producers both which would be
Steve Aoki – Boneless feat Chris lake & Tuijanio
I heard Empire of the Sun’s Alive a lot more than Krewella’s. Might have just been the sets I was at though.

Clarity was way overplayed
Exactly, whoever wrote this sat at the main stage 90% of the time. It’s also the only people that complain about this. go to the bass pod open your horizons and you won’t hear the same song over and over -_-
Bass Pod is for very specific tastes…but the artists at Circuit Grounds also played a lot of these tracks, Cosmic Meadow too.
