If you are on this site, there is a likely chance you have already snapped a few pics of yourself bouncing around the bedroom while blaring The Chainsmokers wildly successful single “#SELFIE,” but last night, the track was introduced to the 7 million viewers that tuned into FOX’s American Idol. The competitive singing showcase saw it’s viewership plummet in recent years (down from 30 million at it’s peak) and has watched it’s average viewer’s age move from 32 to 52. One would assume that The Chainsmokers¬†appearance is an attempt to appeal to a younger crowd and we might be seeing more electronic artists featured on the show.
