While we all anxiously await Steve Aoki‘s new album Neon Future 1 (out September 30th), the anticipation just got taken up a notch, as the single “Rage the Night Away” has received an official flip by the emperors of the 808 known as Flosstradamus. The Floss track is going to be featured on a standalone EP and will be accompanied by additional remixes from Milo & Otis, ENFERNO, and London Future. The Rage the Night Away Remixes EP will be available for purchase off Beatport starting August 8th.
For the remix, Flosstradamus strip the beat and lay down one of their signature half time patterns with rolling snares and a fitting verse from Wocka Flocka Flame that sets the stage for an anthem-like build up. As the Bricksquad proclamation is glitched over the build in a way that only Wocka can pull off, the track turns up and plunges into a rowdy instrumental drop that pays tribute to the original on the first go around but then offers a completely unique melody on the second. This one is going to be perfect for main stage summer nights and daytime PLURNT pool parties, although you are still going to have to wait two more weeks to take it home with you.
The “Rage the Night Away” remix is being released on the heels of Flosstradamus‘ massive Tomorrowland performance last week and is setting them up for a long stretch of dates on the Mad Decent Block Party. You can catch the heralds of HDYBYZ & HDYGRLZ everywhere on the MDBP by purchasing tickets here.
