This is my last weekend before school starts and I am trying to have a good time before I become a slave to a strict(er) schedule. What is going to help make this weekend that much more enjoyable are the dozen tracks you find here today. Tunes For The Weekend is made up mostly by free downloads; the other two songs that must be purchased are well worth their price, too. With all the goods in one place, this is your one stop shop for musical entertainment this weekend, although you may want to add some other freebies we’ve posted this week to the lot.
There’s so much going on here, I do not know where to start. There are plenty of familiar faces, like The Kingdumb, Regulators, Party Thieves, Aether and more well known names like Vicetone and Nadastrom. Then there are new guys, like Juke Ellington, whose original, “Beyond The Star” is a soothing shot of chill right to the veins. We even have an unknown act, Kovari, who just put out their first single called “Paradise,” and trust me, it is one. Although all of these fall under “dope,” they don’t all fall under the same genre. Not by a long shot. There’s trap, house (different kinds), future styles and some quality moombah action. Dig in to them all and enjoy your Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
