Diplo Talks Radio & Upcoming Major Lazer Release

Diplo recently sat down with Dj Beatstreet for an interview at a Mad Decent Block Party in his hometown of Philadelphia. In the interview, aside from the usual Diplo nonsense, which we all have come to love, he mentioned a couple things that were must hears. Despite the growth of indie labels/musicians, one aspect they have yet to really breach is the radio-sphere. Diplo includes himself in that category; however, he still deems radio massively important for the growth of an artist’s career. Aside from saying that DJ Snake has radio records (“Turn Down For What” anybody?), as well as Dillon Francis, Diplo stated he thought the next set of songs from Major Lazer could make out on the air. You can mildly expect a new project from them in early 2015 that will include collaborations from “a lot of big stars.” That is something we cannot wait for. Check out the full interview below to catch the other topics covered by the random white dude and Dj Beatstreet.
