English grime artist and rapper Skepta just got his hit tune “Shutdown” remixed by the UK’s own Son of Kick, and it bangs.
Son Of Kick (SOK) takes the main bass rhythm from the original, warps and extends it, and blends it into the main breakdown of his remix, adding his own wonky synths and cuts for the final product. Skepta’s vocals still represent the core of the tune, but the production is noticeably more electronic than its original counterpart.
