Electronic music has always been one of the focal points of Coachella since its inception, and this year marked the biggest showing of the genre at the festival yet. Acts like Major Lazer, Flume, and Calvin Harris are playing main stages, and Disclosure performed on Saturday Night of the festival’s first weekend on the main stage before legends Ice Cube and Guns N’ Roses.
The British duo collaborated with a number of huge artists over the course of their two albums, and their massive Coachella set brought out the heaviest hitters from the list. Sam Smith returned to the festival for the first time since appearing during the duo’s 2013 set to perform “Latch” and “Omen,” Aluna Francis of AlunaGeorge helped opened the set to perform “White Noise,” and Lorde sang and performed her unique dance moves for “Magnets.” Other guests included Kwabs, Brendan Reily and Lion Babe.
