If you told me I’d still be writing about tropical house in 2017, I’d have said you were crazy. For the genre that blew up in 2014-2015 as quick as it did, it died just as fast. (Seriously, it was really quick.)
Dropout has never really dabbled in the genre, and to be honest, this isn’t true tropical house – it has some of that Diplo-esque dance hall swagger to it, but we can still picture a music video of two white people running on a beach in Jamaica… you know the kind.
The Ready Set lends vocals for the production entitled “Paycheck,” and overall it’s a very enjoyable tune. Listen below:
