Existential funk master Goldwash has had a pretty good year all round so far following the success of several of his new EP’s singles, “Why Hide It” in particular. Now, the full EP Episode is out and it’s a tantalizing look at the kind of funk music that Gabe Acheson is all about.
Through a condensed 13 minutes, Goldwash takes us on an emotional journey showcasing his nifty jazz and soul inspired songwriting and lovely lyrical content and showing us what exactly ‘existential funk’ really is. From the more downtempo “Episode” to the bold, brash closing track “Gets Me Like You,” Goldwash really does pour out his soul.
