Ty Dolla $ign Collaboration With Skrillex & Damian Marley Leaks A Day Ahead Of Release

Skrillex & Damian Marley To Release New Collab With Ty Dolla $ign

Skrillex’s fifth release in as many weeks is due tomorrow, a collaboration with Damian Marley on Ty Dolla $ign’s record “So Am I.” The track marks the first time since “Make It Bun Dem” that Skrillex and Marley have worked together, making it a sequel of sorts, even if it isn’t really their track.

While the track is officially slated for release tomorrow (or at 9pm PT if you’re on the west coast), it has already leaked in full. The track features subtle, but recognizable production from Skrillex on a smooth and tropical sound (not in the tropical house variety, either, more like a cross between Beach Boys and original Bob Marley).

It’s not particularly a “summer hit,” but it’s quite perfect as summer winds down. It has that feeling of almost being too cold – you’re still sitting by the pool, but maybe you have a light jacket on; margeritas and Mexican beers have been replaced by mixed Whiskey drinks and heavier brews…. you get the idea.

Check out the leak here.
