Calvin Harris Made A Bizzare Promise To A Fan In 2012 If Gay Marriage Was Legalized In Australia

Gay marriage has officially been legalized in Australia! Hooray! The vote was nearly unanimous – fewer than five of 150 MPs voted against the law that the votes weren’t even counted. But for one punter, the ruling bears unexpected fruit, based on an old promise made back in 2012.

As the story goes, Filip (with an F) met Calvin Harris at Marquee in Sydney during the Stereosonic tour run five years ago. Filip ended up backstage chatting with the Scottish DJ and apparently eventually came to the agreement – “sealed with a hand shake” – that if gay marriage was legalized in Australia, that Harris would remix the song “2 Become 1” by the Spice Girls.

At this time, Harris has made no response to Filip. However, social media being the community-driven vehicle that it is, we expect some kind of answer soon.
