Police Radio Airwaves Get Hacked with Music Including NWA’s “Fuck Tha Police”

Ice Cube Hints At An N.W.A. Reunion For His Coachella Set [Video]

Local police radio waves were recently taken over by a New Zealand actor that decided it would be a good idea to hack the system.

Rage Against The Machine tracks were played out like crazy, along with a middle finger-type music selection — NWA’s “Fuck Tha Police.” While it’s unclear if this was just a prank or a bigger statement, people heard the message loud and clear.

A source close to the investigation explained the interference and potential dangers if this continues to happen:

“There’s no question that if it carries on, and if they do what they’re doing, it will delay a response. Any interference with a police radio constitutes a risk to public safety, and anyone caught doing this can face a penalty of criminal nuisance and up to one year imprisonment.”

While we can appreciate a good N.W.A. track the police force’s source of commutation is probably the worst place for it… Just listen to it right here instead.
