Your EDM’s own Petey Mac is back with a new track “Don’t Trip” and it is an absolute tech house heater. This song has all the elements you would want in a modern house track; groovy hi-hats, a solid and rhythmic bassline, and some weird techno elements and distorted vocal samples. House music, and tech-house specifically, is certainly big in lots of DJs playlists nowadays, and Petey Mac’s latest, “Don’t Trip,” fits in perfectly with any house set.
According to Petey, the main influences for “Don’t Trip” were Prok & Fitch and Green Velvet, if he was going for that warehouse rave sound, he succeeded. “Don’t Trip” is a straight groove and house to the core. This is truly a song that highlights all of the best elements of house music and what makes it so infectious and groovy. Here’s what Petey Mac had to say about “Don’t Trip.”
“I love that old school house sound with pianos and soulful samples, which is what I did with ‘Love Is The Answer’ & ‘Dance With Me’. For ‘Don’t Trip’, I wanted to create a big tech house type of song. I’ve always been a huge fan of Prok & Fitch and Green Velvet so I really tried to channel that energy into this single. I’m really proud of it and am so excited to be working with ZeroDeep on this one!” – Petey Mac
