Pioneer Wants To Make The Perfect CDJs For Touring

What kind of impact is social media having on DJs and the dance music scene?

The documentary INSTA DJ: Social Media and the New Age Dancefloor explores just that in a brand new, 40-minute presentation from Pioneer DJ. The doc offers much insight about the effects of social media on artists, music, fandoms, clubs and events — and most importantly, mental health.

How has social media changed the way fans enjoy shows? Can DJs be successful without a huge social media following? Ultimately, what are the costs to stay connected? DJs and industry experts including Annie Mac, Carl Cox, Danny Howard (BBC Radio One), Mark Lawrence, Natasha Devon MBE (advisor on mental health and body image) discuss these topics and more.

One thing is for sure — social media isn’t leaving the dancefloor anytime soon.
