David Guetta has kicked off DJ Mag’s 2026 Top 100 DJs fundraising campaign with a donation to Bridges for Music, supporting music education and creative development for young people from under-served communities in South Africa.
The French DJ and producer is the first to contribute following the close of 2026 Top 100 DJs voting on September 16. DJ Mag is asking all Top 100 artists to sponsor at least one student at Cape Town’s Bridges for Music Academy, which provides young creatives in under-resourced communities with music, entrepreneurship, and professional education.
Guetta, a five-time Top 100 DJs winner, urged fellow ranked artists to support future generations. The campaign builds on 2025’s record £170,832 raised by 42 DJs. Started by Martin Garrix’s £34,000 donation (matched by Skrillex), the effort reached £149,442 before hitting its final total to provide 170 young people with music, entrepreneurship, and mental health training.
Valentino Barrioseta, CEO and founder of Bridges for Music, said in a statement to DJ Mag that the previous campaign expanded their reach and demonstrated international artists’ positive impact on young people. The 2026 Top 100 DJs results will be announced on 6 October. Originally launched in 1993, the poll allows fans to vote for five DJs without eligibility criteria.
