Dance music icons Ferry Corsten and Morgan Page have just teamed up for their first ever collab “Wounded,” and, ooh boy, it is a banger! Featuring stellar vocals from Dutch singer Cara Melín, “Wounded” is a sultry house track that fuses 80’s vibes and synths with a modern piano-house flourish. “Wounded” is one of those tracks that you can instantly groove out to, and it would sound just as good on the radio as it would at your poolside BBQ.
The track opens immediately with Cara Melín’s vocals. She’s lamenting that time is supposed to heal all wounds, but she hasn’t healed yet. In theory these are somber lyrics, but the production makes you dance away the pain. Only finger snaps and 80s style synths accompany the vocals at the start of the track. However, soon, the 80s bassline soon kicks in, and the drop is just joyful piano house. The total package is just a pure groove.
