Here at Your EDM, it’s pretty easy to get focused on huge festivals like EDC, Ultra, TomorrowLand, but every now and then we get wind of a unique type of boutique festival. In this case, we’d like to direct your attention to Northern Nights Festival, taking place in Northern California this July.
While this will be the 10th edition of the music festival, this will be the first ever music festival to create an in-house cannabis strain. Cannabis is legal here in California, and Northern Nights has always been at the forefront of cannabis at festivals. (Let’s face it, legal weed at festivals is probably just a couple of years away.) In 2019, Northern Nights became the first festival to feature legal on-site cannabis sales and consumption, and in 2022, they became the first festival to feature on-site dispensaries. As someone who has had more than one vape confiscated, this is a welcome development.
We would be remiss, of course, if we didn’t tell you about the awesome lineup. Whether you’re a weed smoker or not, this lineup is no joke. Big Gigantic, G Jones, Mura Masa (DJ Set), TokiMonsta, and Dr. Fresch round out the headliners. Check out the Northern Nights website for ticket and camping options. While you may not see the actual Northern Lights, this festival should leave your lungs and your heart full.
