Two of dance music’s most badass ladies, EVAN GIIA and Nostaligix, have teamed up for a rave-ready banger, “LIMIT.” Accompanied by a music video featuring the two artists performing in some type of a warehouse. The aesthetic of the space they’re in, as well as the repeating synth keys evoke old school underground rave vibes. The video itself is grainy and not in HD, bringing back memories of old grunge videos on MTV back in the day. Fun fact, EVAN GIIA is a classically trained opera singer…no wonder her vocals are so affecting.
“I was excited to write a song that uses my operatic sound on the pre chorus and then drop into something heavy,” EVAN GIIA says. “‘LIMIT’ is my first collab with a female producer (a goal I’ve had for years!) You can feel the confidence and power in it. The message: you can do anything you set your mind to. There are no limits. We had a vision of female warriors going to battle while we wrote it.”
“I was stoked to get into the studio with EVAN GIIA, I think she’s such a talented artist and I love what she’s about,” Nostalgix adds. “We found time to get into a session together in between our tours and started talking about everything we were dealing with at the time. We were both in a period of our lives where we had to really show up for ourselves and be our own superheroes. So we started writing about it and the record came together flawlessly.
This record is very special to me. ‘LIMIT’ is about taking your power and going after what you want no matter the limits.”
