Tickets for Glastonbury 2025, sold out in under 40 minutes. This is after the recent announcement from the festival that they’ll make use of a different ticketing structure to ensure a more seamless and fair experience for ticket buyers. The world-renowned festival will take place from 25 – 29 June in Somerset, England.
Tickets for the Coach package sold out in under 30 minutes on 14 November, while General Access tickets took just 35 minutes to sell out on Sunday, 17 November. The new ticketing system has been met with a lot of criticism (with a few people singing its praises), especially after Glastonbury announced that all tickets are officially sold out. The new system involved each site visitor being randomly assigned a place in a virtual queue.
A lot of people took to social media to express their thoughts after Glastonbury announced tickets were sold out. Simon McEvoy shared: “The tent I bought 10 years ago for Glastonbury is still in its bag. At this rate, my children might be the only ones to get to use it.” While another Twitter user, Adam Collins, praised the new system: “Such an awesome system, got in on mobile using mobile data, so easy. Bravo @seetickets”.
In a tweet posted on Sunday 17 November Glastonbury thanked those who bought a ticket and apologized to those who weren’t able to. Although no headliners or acts have been unveiled for next year’s edition, the Glastonbury frenzy is still incredibly palpable.
