Daft Punk have shared a new animated video for their 2013 track ‘Contact’. The groundbreaking single is featured on their GRAMMY-Award winning album Random Access Memories.
The video, which dropped on Saturday 8 November, reimagines the duo’s futuristic style through their recent partnership with gaming giant Fortnite. Developed with Epic Games and Magnopus, it expands on the narrative which was first introduced during The Daft Punk Experience in the Fortnite universe.
The animation follows Daft Punk’s iconic robot characters as they journey through deep space, while they’re being drawn towards a mysterious, rhythmic signal. Fans are treated to subtle nods to the duo’s monumental 2007 Alive tour and other career milestones, creating a rich visual tribute to their massive legacy.
