All roads lead to GMO SONIC in January! GMO SONIC is Japan’s premium winter festival, and will return to Makuhari Messe convention centre in Chiba, Japan from 17 – 18 January 2026.
The two day extravaganza will feature a spectacular lineup of global superstars such as Swedish House Mafia, Dom Dolla, Marshmello, Afrojack, Steve Aoki and GloRilla. The festival will span an array of genres from big room to house, hip hop, trance and techno.
GMO SONIC is revered for its world-class, daring production featuring numerous stages, state of the art LED displays, the best in sound design as well as an immersive visual experience which honours Japanese artistry, courtesy of Atarashii Gakkou no Leaders. 
Day one of the festival sees Afrojack, Marshmello, Steve Aoki, Atarashii Gakkou no Leaders, and GloRilla take to the stage. The first day will be a high-octane concoction of house, hip hop and bass as well as experimental Japanese performance art. Day two features none other than Swedish House Mafia, MEDUZA, a special guest set from the legend Tiësto as well as Dom Dolla.
Since launching in 2020, GMO SONIC has rapidly grown into one of the most formidable festival experiences in Japan. Co-produced by GMO Internet Group and Creativeman Productions, previous editions have featured the likes of Skrillex, Martin Garrix as well as Zedd, proving that this is a highly sought-after experience.
