Last week, the industry was rattled by the news of the insolvency proceedings for music tech giant Native Instruments. On 29 January, Nick Williams CEO of Native Instruments, shared a blog post affirming that the company is still operating normally.
In the blog post, which is titled Statement from Nick Williams, CEO of Native Instruments, the CEO clears up any uncertainty around whether or not the company is operating as it usually does, and the impact of the recent insolvency news on other companies under its umbrella such as iZotope, Plugin Alliance and Brainworx.
Nick pointed out that it’s business as usual for each department within the company. This includes the customer support teams, product and engineering teams, as well as their NKS Partnerships team. Nick shared; “Our hardware and software products remain on sale and available for download and activation. Our passionate and dedicated teams are here and supporting customers as normal. In product and engineering, we are continuing to develop and launch new products and features. Our NKS Partnerships team continues to process Kontakt Player licences and NKS Partner submissions.” 
He also acknowledged the insolvency process, and made it clear that they are doing what they can to ensure a financially viable and secure future for the company. He said; “we are working diligently and responsibly to secure a healthy, financially sustainable future for Native Instruments.”
Nick ended the blog post by saying that the ethos and mission behind Native Instruments remains the same as it always has been, and that their priority will always be to inspire and allow creators to express themselves through sound: “Our mission to inspire and enable creators to express themselves through sound continues.”
