Avicii’s hit ‘Wake Me Up’ featuring has officially surpassed three billion streams on Spotify!
The 2013 hit which features Aloe Blacc, is now only one of 51 tracks on Spotify to reach this level of streaming success. Initially, when the EDM and country-infused track dropped, fans were not impressed and it in fact received a massively negative response when Avicii debuted the single at Ultra in 2013.
In 2014, ‘Wake Me Up’ was the very first song to hit 200 million streams on Spotify, and in less than a decade it hit 200 million streams in 2023. It’s crystal clear that Avicii’s legacy is still thriving and could possibly be more influential than ever.
