Australian house music producer FISHER is expanding his creative portfolio beyond the dancefloor, joining the voice cast of Disney and Pixar’s upcoming animated feature Toy Story 5 for its Australian and New Zealand release.
FISHER will voice the character of the Garden Gnome, part of a group of overlooked toys who live together in an abandoned backyard shed. The role introduces a smaller, scrappier community within the wider Toy Story universe, adding a new layer to the film’s expanding world of characters outside the familiar toybox setting.
The latest instalment from Disney and Pixar continues the storyline following Toy Story 4, reuniting Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Jessie and other familiar characters. This time, the group is faced with a modern challenge in the form of a smart tablet named Lilypad, which begins to dominate Bonnie’s imagination and reshape the way the toys are used.
Alongside FISHER’s regional voice debut, the film features returning cast members including Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Joan Cusack, Blake Clark and Tony Hale. Toy Story 5 is set for release in Australian and New Zealand cinemas on June 18, 2026, continuing the franchise’s long-running exploration of imagination, nostalgia and change in a digital age.
