With over three decades of experience, Yuuki Yoshiyama stands as one of Japan’s most formidable artists, event curators and entrepreneurs. Driven by excellence, he is the Executive Producer of GMO SONIC, which is Japan’s largest arena dance music festival and the previous Executive Director of EDC Japan. His journey began in 1996, and since then he’s crafted a career fuelled by passion and precision. As an acclaimed DJ and producer, he has performed in more than 15 countries including the UK, Germany, Spain and the US, while he’s provided support for more than 50 DJ Mag Top 100 artists. He’s also known as the “Tech Maestro”, because of his remarkable mixing across genres like tech house, house, techno and trance.
In October, Yuuki made his debut at Germany’s famed Boothaus, where he shared the stage with the likes of MEDUZA, Siak and Wade Musik. This was another massive milestone for Yuuki, who excitedly shared more on his experience; “What a night! I’ve found another favorite venue in the world.”
Additionally, Yuuki played five shows at ADE which took place from 22 – 26 October. He also joined a panel of leading Asian producers to discuss the challenges of the industry and ways to enhance fan experiences. Sharing more on the discussion, Yuuki said; “It was inspiring to share ideas with so many talented people and think about how we can keep pushing the scene forward”.
Yuuki also dropped his latest single titled ‘KAMUKURA’ on 24 October. The track is a culmination of global influences, and merges Afro house with Japanese drums. The single was inspired by Yuuki’s favourite restaurant Kitchen of the Nation which is based in Osaka.
