Canadian duo Zeds Dead have surprised fans with the release of their striking visual offering Channel Flipping 2: Only You. The visual piece is only available on their YouTube channel, and expands on their album Return To The Spectrum Of Intergalactic Happiness, which dropped in March this year.
Building on the album’s concept of a television jumping through eras, genres and memories, the duo transform their Red Rocks mashup into an immersive, groundbreaking experience that enhances the narrative even more.
The visualiser launches viewers into a collage of cultural milestones spanning the 19th century to the early 2010s. It seamlessly weaves together samples and visuals from artists like Tupac, Lupe Fiasco, Nas, Louis Armstrong, Three 6 Mafia, John Lennon, The Platters and The Hollies. Through shifting scenes and genre-defying transitions, Zeds Dead craft a nostalgic yet contemporary journey through sound and time which echoes the album’s distinct universe.
