Mike Williams is back with another heartfelt, boundary-descimating offering. This time, he has linked up with the incredible singer-songwriter Oaks on the emotively charged single ‘Better Now’. The track dropped today, and was released via prominent Dutch music label Be Yourself Music.
The track captures the essence of Mike’s sound perfectly, as it sublimely balances his melodic prowess with his ability to create an emotional connection with the listener. The production is sleek, intentional and features a commanding melody along with a hauntingly beautiful atmosphere throughout. Oaks’ vocals are stern, yet they hold an inescapable emotional pull too. ‘Better Now’ is ideal for private, introspective listening as well as climatic moments on the dancefloor; as Mike has played it numerous times during his live sets, most notably at his sold-out ADE event Storylines.
Sharing more on how the single came to life Mike Williams said; “this track was born during one of the best writing sessions I’ve ever had. Everything just clicked – the energy, the conversations, the songwriting. We’ve made a lot of music together, but this one felt different from the start. I’ve teased it in my sets for a long time, and people went absolutely crazy every time, both live and online. That’s why this track means so much to me.“ 
Oaks revealed more about the inspiration behind the single and performing it live at ADE; “‘Better Now‘ was written with Mike during a time when everything felt emotionally heavy for me. We let the song sit in the discomfort – the weight of loving someone you can’t fix and the quiet strength it takes to finally walk away. Performing it acoustically at ADE was a truly special moment, and I’m so happy to finally share this one with the world.”
Mike Williams has performed at major festivals like Tomorrowland, Ultra and Parookaville. Although he’s widely known for his 2017 breakout hit ‘Feel Good’ with Felix Jaehn, his distinct sound has captured the hearts of audiences all over the world! Oaks is the electronic music alter ego of Swedish singer-songwriter Winona Oak. She’s no newcomer, as she’s worked with the likes of globally-renowned artists such as Robin Schulz, The Chainsmokers and Alan Walker.
