mau5trap Releases ‘We Are Friends Vol. 12 Disk 2’ Featuring Long-Awaited deadmau5 Track ‘Rydly’

mau5trap has dropped the second installment of its acclaimed compilation series, delivering another carefully curated chapter that continues the legacy of We Are Friends Vol. 12. Following Disk 1 in January, Disk 2 builds on the label’s sound, combining nostalgic touches with progressive production, inspired by ’90s digital culture and featuring both rising and established artists.

Central to the disk is deadmau5’s long-circulated ID ‘Rydly’ now officially released after years in the vault. Clocking in at nearly seven minutes, the track channels an intricate, playful take on 90s video game sound design, stretching out in signature deadmau5 fashion. Additional highlights include Westend’s remix of the iconic deadmau5 and Wolfgang Gartner collaboration ‘Animal Rights’,  alongside cuts such as LOSTMYFAITH’s groove-led funk ‘Rhythm Of The House’, ALKA and Atopic’s high-energy ‘Go Crazy’ and contributions from Joel Corelitz, Locksi, Misiano, SN4B, Mira Vale, ghost., and more.

Over the years, the We Are Friends series has become one of mau5trap’s standout releases, serving as both a snapshot of the moment and a platform for new talent. Disk 2 keeps that momentum going, moving between textured acid, off-kilter glitch, and club-ready cuts. The full compilation is now streaming on Spotify and all major platforms.
