Kustom Entertainment is set to position Kansas City as an emerging destination for electronic music this summer with the launch of Global Frequencies, a large-scale EDM event taking place on Sunday, June 28 at Azura Amphitheater in Bonner Springs.
The event opens with a strong launch lineup featuring DJ Diesel (Shaquille O’Neal), Alison Wonderland, KSHMR, TroyBoi, and Loud Luxury. More artists are expected to be announced in the coming weeks, expanding the bill into a wider festival-style takeover of the venue.
Global Frequencies arrives directly on the heels of Kustom Entertainment’s flagship Country Stampede festival, which marks its 30th anniversary at the same venue from June 25–27. Rather than a standalone booking, the EDM showcase forms part of a wider weekend programming strategy, transforming the space from a country-focused festival into an electronic music finale aimed at broadening the region’s live music offering and meeting growing demand for large-scale dance events in the Midwest. 
Organisers say the concept is designed to bring the atmosphere of global dance festivals into Kansas City, adapting that scale and energy for a local audience. Sean “Hollywood” Hamilton, founder and co-executive producer of the Electronic Dance Music Awards, who assisted in connecting talent for the event, described it as an important moment for the city’s developing EDM presence, highlighting the combination of artists, production and crowd experience at the centre of the project.
Matt Tholen, Vice President of Operations at Kustom 440, echoed that sentiment, noting that the Kansas City market is ready for a standout electronic music moment. He described the event as aiming to deliver a high-impact live experience that is “built to be loud, bold and unforgettable,” fitting into what is already a busy summer calendar for the venue.
