After months of teasing the track in their live sets, Solomun and Skrillex have officially released their first-ever collaboration, ‘Rumpta’.
The long-awaited record has become one of the most talked-about IDs in both artists’ recent performances, making appearances during Solomun’s shows at Tehmplo Tulum, his sold-out Alexandra Palace dates in London, and his acclaimed EDC Las Vegas set earlier this year.
Blending Solomun’s melodic house influences with Skrillex’s intricate production style, ‘Rumpta’ combines classic house-inspired vocals with driving percussion and an infectious groove. The track naturally merges both artists’ distinct styles into a dancefloor-focused collaboration that has already become a standout in their recent live sets. 
The release arrives just days before Skrillex joins Solomun at Pacha Ibiza for the latest edition of the iconic Solomun +1 residency on 5 July. The pair previously shared the booth during last year’s residency, delivering one of the season’s standout back-to-back sets and fuelling speculation that new music was on the way.
For Solomun, ‘Rumpta’ adds another unexpected collaboration to a career built on bridging underground credibility with global festival stages. For Skrillex, the record continues his recent run of genre-blurring releases while showcasing the detailed sound design that has defined his productions for more than a decade.
