22 year old Matan Zohar, or Mat Zo to the music world, is the newest DJ/producer on BBC Radio 1‘s Essential Mix. This mix is fire. He states the tracks in his mix aren’t necessarily what you would hear in a club setting, but more of what you would listen to on a day-to-day basis. Remembering that artists are fans too, lot of these songs are what he himself finds inspirational. Mat Zo really spreads the variety around, touching on drum and bass, trance, progressive, funk and basically anything you can think of. Some artists you can expect to hear from in this mix are: Daft Punk, Kill Paris, Ferry Corsten, Fedde le Grand, Boys Noize, Mord Fustang, Netsky, Depeche Mode, and dozens of other artists from all genres. Between edits and mixing, this Essential Mix really is an essential part of a music library. This is something that will make the morning commute to work or classes so much more delightful. Enjoy the two hour bliss mix.
PS – Interesting fact for everyone. Apparently we all owe a big thanks to DJ Pied Piper for stopping by Mat Zo‘s school and inspiring him to get into DJing.
