Tiesto – Chasing Summers (R3hab and Quintino Remix) [Musical Freedom]

Tiesto’s, “Chasing Summers”, has been the anthem of his Club Life tour for the past year and now received a remix from the dirty Dutchmen R3hab and Quintino. The original upbeat, progressive feel is replaced with flimsy, hit and miss moog-ish chords, saved only by a fiery bass drop that is absolutely thunderous. Overall, the song never capitalized on its potential to become one of the best remixes of 2013. With the wealth of talent held between both producers, I hoped they would’ve brought more to the table than what seemed like a half-hazard attempt for one of Tiesto’s greatest hits. However, on a positive note, its huge drop is perfect to integrate into live sets and even making your own mash-ups on the fly.
