What do you get when you combine a city of EDM fanatics, a world-class sound system and one of Eric Prydz’s most praised protégés? While I can’t predict the future, I can say with confidence that you will want to be at Palladium this Friday when Fehrplay takes the stage and loses his Chicago virginity. Don’t worry, he’s excited too. He told us so himself…
“I have never been to Chicago before, and I’m really excited to be playing there. I know that Chicago is where house music originated in the 80’s. And DJs like Frankie Knuckles, Felix da Housecat and DJ Sneak are all from Chicago! So I’m looking forward to visiting a birthplace of legends!“
This Norwegian producer has turned a lot of heads since he cannonballed onto the scene in 2009 with his track “Meow” which was released on Ministry of Sound. In just three short years, he was signed to the world renowned Pryda & Friends label, an achievement envied and desired by many. Best part is, it hasn’t gone to his head.
“Everything changed basically. All of the sudden I was supporting Eric in incredible venues and clubs. It was a bit overwhelming at the time, but a dream coming true! …Don’t think it could be much better in my opinion!”
Not only has he caught the attention of Mr. Prydz, but Fehrplay was the featured guest mix on the 11th episode of Above & Beyond’s Group Therapy radio during which he premiered his latest track “Phantom.”

And the icing on the cake for Fehrplay’s Chicago fans? Just yesterday, he joined the lineup for the second annual Wavefront Music Festival. Beach, beer, beats. Can someone say MEOW?
See you crazy kids on Friday. And until then…
