Last night at the Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas, David Guetta took home the highest EDM award at the event. Although it baffles me why people still consider David Guetta the best EDM artist, the super star DJ will be taking home yet another award to go in his ever growing trophy cabinet. When asked about his award, David Guetta stated: “When they put me on the cover four years ago and said EDM would be big, I thought ‘these guys are crazy – this will never happen’ Imagine how I feel today.”
Thankfully, David Guetta was not the only EDM recognized at the Billboard Music Awards. Skrillex won the award for top EDM album and Baauer took home two different awards, one for top dance song, and the other for top EDM song. With the viral effects of the “Harlem Shake” and the technical prowess of the Bangarang album, it is no surprise that Baauer and Skrillex would be nominated for such awards.

I hate guetta there is a reason I havn’t heard any of his songs, its not because he is “unpopular” its because his shit sucks. its not played at festivals, mentioned in blogs, or shown to me by any friends, its amazing he won that award what a load of shit.
I wouldn’t listen to David Guetta even if he was playing in my ears!
very one dimensional response, Guetta made lots of great tracks early on in his career and did what SHM are doing right now… before them. just because you haven’t bothered to look back doesn’t mean they suck, in fact, it probably means you suck.
The fisrt album of David G. was produce (most of the songs) by a famous, good, talented French Dj (because we don’t only have D.G in France), his name is Joachim Garraud.
