This past weekend, Chicago played host to Insomniac Event’s Electric Daisy Carnival. Although the event was a great time, poor weather conditions dampened some of the campers resolve to stay the whole weekend. However, those who stayed through the weekend were greeted by a surprise visit from Insominac’s CEO, Pasquale Rotella, who came bearing breakfast for everyone.
Monday morning Insomniac employees and Pasquale Rotella himself began handing out breakfast burrito’s to all the campers who had braved the rain and cold. Buying breakfast burritos, paying employee’s to hand them out, and even helping distribute them himself is above and beyond what is required from a promotion company or the CEO.
Pasquale Rotella has always been dedicated to his fans and this gesture further solidifies that notion. As some festivals continue to raise prices, add service fee’s, and work to maximize their profits, It’s nice to see that Pasquale Rotella is remaining humble and striving to create the best experience for all his music fans.
This dude is pretty legit. I worked a stand on Sat/Sun to pay for my ticket, and when I went to pick up my wristband from the stand on Friday, he came up to the stand and was directly asking what he could do to make the whole thing better for vendors next year, fully aware that it had been a shitshow so far. It was relatively disorganized, and the vendor managers were, honestly, douches. But that he personally took responsibility to find ways to improve… pretty righteous. Here’s hoping for better weather in 2014!
