Irish producer Murtagh and German Baq5, relatively unknown as of yet, have managed to stay under the radar for quite some time now. But their latest release, Magical, caught my eye and I’m damn glad.
The composition is absurdly happy and uplifting, right until you hit the drop when it adds another layer of grime with some heavily modulated growls and scratchy synths. You can barely even notice the drum pattern for how upbeat the whole production is. The breakdown blends some soothing wind instruments with wind chime sounds, just really drawing you in and getting you into the mood.
Already receiving praise from AK9 and James Egbert, I don’t see these guys remaining unnoticed for too much longer. It’s a free download, too, so go get it!
