This is not the EDM you usually listen to; it’s not even the EDM that at dawn we rage usually makes. Either way, I’m damn glad that he broke out of the mold and put together this little ditty.
I feel like the acoustic guitar is the main focal point of the track, but the other strings and definitely the keyboard make up a considerable part of the melody. You can almost call this whatever you like – dubstep, trap, chillout. But the deciding winner is downtempo, just utter blissful, calming music. I feel like sometimes reverb is a producer’s best friend, and it’s used to great effect here with the stretching and warping of vocal samples and synth lines. This isn’t any kind of mainstage music, but you’d be a fool not to appreciate that this is damn good.
