A little over a month ago, on July 26, at the Mystic Music Festival in Houston, the California-based music producer Tigran Mimosa, or MiMOSA, got carried off stage after he got into a physical altercation with festival security following his pouring of a bottle of Grey Goose vodka over his fellow performer Downlink’s head.
In case you don’t know, here’s what happened: MiMOSA’s time slot was up, but he refused to abandon his performance and leave the stage. Nonetheless, Downlink took the stage to prepare for his set because the show had to go on. In response to Downlink, MiMOSA left the stage, but then stormed back moments later and the vodka pouring ensued.
Downlink took the high road and waited until he cooled down before he said anything. The following day, Downlink took to Facebook to comment on the incident. Check out the full post here.
Hello music lovers and fellow human beings. I am not one to perpetuate drama in any way and many of you are already aware of what happened last night so I won’t go into details. Just know that the level of disrespect and ignorance I encountered was shocking to say the least.
Recently, a video interview with Downlink arose. Towards the end of the interview, Downlink spoke up about MiMOSA and voiced his frustrations and concerns about what happened. Check it out below.
