Opiuo – Life ft. Gift of Gab & Syreneiscreamy (KOAN Sound Remix) [Slurp Music]

Opiuo’s album Meraki went far under my radar until earlier this week actually, far after it’s March release date. This is the second full album from Opiuo and he’s gone full-out in recruiting producers to remix his already gloriously glitchy album.

One producer duo of note is definitely KOAN Sound, who are currently on OWSLA. They took the second track, Life, and breathed a little bit extra into it. While the original makes heavy use of Gift of Gab’s & Syreneiscreamy’s vocals, KOAN Sound peels it back and lets the funky bassline take the brunt of the focus. Though, the vocals still make an appearance in the more empty sections of the remix.
