The infamous Deadmau5 released “See Ya” on his album While (1<2), a radio-ready anthem with gorgeous chord progressions and the incredible vocals of Colleen D’Agostino riding along characteristic bass-lines containing just enough grit to retain a signature mau5 flair.
Now Colleen has returned with the help of several acoustic instrumentalists to create a touching makeover of the spectacular record where her creativity and top-line truly shine. This beautiful acoustic version shows the true musicality behind Zimmerman’s records, and it honestly is one of my favorite acoustic renditions of a track that I’ve ever heard.
Better than the original? Depends on who you are… but for me this is perfection.
