Guitarist for Rage Against The Machine and Audioslave, Tom Morello, extended a huge nod to the electronic music scene in March of last year when questioned by a fan “What heavy bands are you listening to?”
The resultant answer? “Knife Party, Skrillex, Bassnectar. That’s the new metal.”

Morello is nothing short of an idol to the god of bass, and it is apparent that Bassnectar took this Twitter conversation as a sign from above; having posted a photo to Instagram of the legendary Tom Morello in the studio with him this past week.
