ONHELL — SUS Island EP [Muti Music]

ONHELL — SUS Island EP [Muti Music]

Low and slow, that’s how ONHELL‘s tunes go. The Northern California beat-smith has an undeniable knack for dialing in ethereal melodies and cranking up the bass, making his latest release a collection of certified dance-floor smashers.

Following hot on the heels of Tarantism, his exploration of the experimental side of bass music, the SUS Island EP is a return to more recognizable patterns for this up & comer. It sits somewhere between trap, future bass, and ambient hip-hop; a smorgasbord of melody and rhythm. Each tune is its own unique blend of smooth and gritty, solemn and sensual. Having just seen ONHELL at Emissions West Coast Bass Culture, we can say without a shadow of a doubt that these tracks were made for the festival circuit. We can also say that you need to catch a live set from him as soon as you can. In the meantime though, his studio work will have to tide you over. Check out the full stream of SUS Island after the jump and purchase a copy for yourself on Beatport.
