We’re halfway through summer, which means The Rooftop Boys are officially out of their winter hibernation, and we couldn’t be happier about that. The duo of Bender and Hyberbits have delivered stellar remixes of everyone from Kanye West to Sam Feldt, as their “Summer Bass” sound offers a unique blend of tropical house and future bass. Their music is made for summer, plain and simple, and with the temperatures still rising, and the pool parties still going, The Rooftop Boys have taken Australian indie band, The Griswolds, and their hit, “If You Wanna Stay,” and given it their kiss of sunshine.
The uplifting, laidback feel of The Griswolds’ vocalist drives the track, while The Rooftop Boys acclimate the band from the land down under to the warmer American weather with their signature “summer bass” style. The talented duo infuses the track with a groovy house backbone, as the lead vocalist eventually hands the reins off to a driving guitar arrangement and whipping bass. The remix is due out on Windup Records, but you can check out the track below, courtesy of The Rooftop Boys.
